Did I get the wrong clip?
Wow, this was seemingly very random…but at the same time awesome.
I remember this show was broadcast on YTV in Canada when I was little, although I think it was called ‘Once up on a Hamster’ back then.
I wonder if this is video Jake meant to show us though, although maybe we’re supposed to read into it somehow?
With Sensei Jake, who knows?
Youtube is awesome. You can find the wierdest, funniest stuff on there. I want to get a camera to plug into my computer so i can have a “show”. It’d be soooo much fun to get to make scathing comments about the idiosyncrasies of life.

In other news, tomorrow I’m getting together with my ad agency friends for “Millennial Movie Night”. It’s basically an excuse for us to get together, drink beer and watch 80s movies under the guise of researching the Millennial age group. On the agenda:

Troll (and maybe Troll 2, but I feel like that needs its own night)
I’m bringing your books and Goblins of the Labyrinth as supporting materials. When I mentioned it to one of the attendees he replied, “Wow…you’re even geekier than I thought.”
i doubt that’s possible. i have the entire book on CD, and a friend of mine determined that it is completely impossible to get more obsessed-labyrinth-geek-like than i already am, and you all seem to be as obsessed as me, so…

When I first heard “Hammy” I thought “COOKIE!!!!!” I watched Over the Hedge for the first time a while ago and Hammy was probably my favorite character.

Willow is worth a watch if you haven’t seen it. It’s like a cross between Ridley Scott’s Legend and Kevin Costner’s Robin Hood.
And Troll is like the poor man’s Labyrinth. Same basic concept, terrible execution. And no David Bowie;-)

Congratulations on the movie night, Dorcas. Understanding, if not necessarily embracing, the bulge is practically mandatory for pop culture literacy these days.
I love those vintage rodents too. Apparently there’s a puppet/cgi based direct to video update coming out right about now in the UK featuring the voices of Stephen Fry, Steve Coogan and Jim Broadbent.
Ah, the Bulge… The reason why I can’t get half my family to watch Labyrinth with me (prudes) and why the other half teases me relentless (perverts). I’ve tried telling them it’s not why I watch it, but they’ve developed selective hearing when it comes to me and my Labyrinth obsession.
This video kind of reminds me of Milo and Otis, which was possibly one of my favorite movies as a child. I’d run around the house yelling, “Here comes the dog, strong and Brave! Bark! Here comes the dog, your life he’ll save!” Ah, *wipes tear from corner of eye*, good old horrifyingly embarrassing memories.

Bowie Bulge…? oh dear lord.
My family watches Austin Powers, Family Guy, The Simpson, and Monty Python constantly, and find them incredibly funny (excluding Willow) , so they’re all (again, not Willow) slightly perverted, i guess. They also have no problem watching Labyrinth. Hunter finds the Escher Scene incredibly cool, and Willow and I like the way they did that and the Ballroom scene. By the way, Hunter forced Willow to read him both of your books Jake, so please make them very wordy cause he says he’s going to keep doing it and Willow hates it, but I get a kick out of it.
