Laisse Tombez Jareth — C’est temps pour Soren!

soren
Some of you weren’t so impressed with Jareth’s last heir apparent. Maybe he was too blond for you? Too lich-like? Well, perhaps this French confection will better please your fantasy singer palate! He’s like an amalgam of every costumed role Alan Cumming has ever played.

And be sure to check out Monsieur Soren’s website for bare-chested, green pantalooned elf erotica. He also shows a talent for rhyming in two languages… about a certain “secret fold.”

It’s so strange…I like it! Can’t put my finger as to why I do….*scratches head* but it’s a very interesting video to say the least!

(Yay! I’m the first to comment!)

  2. Maggie says:

The girl’s hair reminds me of Sarah’s. What was with that guy’s face. Was it like a tree tattoo? I kinda liked the nature theme to the whole thing.

(Yay! I’m the second to comment!)

  3. Kristi O. says:

Gotta admit, I sort of like the song, but the stupid hair-do of tattoo boy ruins it for me. That, and he keeps looking into the camera, which is my biggest pet peeve of a video.

This just makes me wonder though Jake…Do you have a strange fascination with singing elven men? Or is this all to just distract us until the next volume of RtL comes out? (Because if so, I think it’s working).

(Yay! I don’t understand the fascination with order of comment posting….Yay!)

  4. Mollie says:

cool song, interesting video, but he doesn’t quite pull off the spiky-haired look =/ his Robin Hood outfit at 1:26 was kind of fruity too, but maybe that’s just me

looks like he was going for a Robin H/Legolas/anime character look, but yeah, he’s a better heir for Jareth than the last one….probably because he’s a cute French guy with good vocals :D the tattoo on his face was pretty awesome as well

  5. Fallen Rose says:

I love this song, it is so alluring and mysterious, I’ve watched it several times already (Yea, I’m the fifth person to comment) What is the title of this song? I can read French

  6. Darkfox says:

How do you find time to discover these clips? lol. Okay, I kinda like this guy better than the last fake hair dude, but I kinda like David Bowie better. I’m a 1980′s baby, so I gotta stick to David Bowie. I don’t know, but just listening to David’s voice and staring into his hawk-like eyes, no one can take the Goblin King’s place.

  7. Andi says:

Give me Damien Sargue or Cyril Niccolai.

They can play Jareth’s hair anyday! Both are beautiful and fabulous singers. ;)

  8. Kendra says:

He IS better than the mustache-out-of-a-detective-kit dude, but… I still don’t think he’s Goblin King material. David Bowie’s the one and only, of course, but as far as heirs go? I think we’ll have to keep searching.

  9. Kendra says:

Ah, and Andi, I looked up those two and they were amazing!!! Not only did they have great vocals, but they were both so cute! And they have beautiful smiles… *in fan-girl mode*

  10. Andi says:

Kendra – OMFG. I KNOW! They are delish. I could also name off a whole truckload of men who are worthy of the Goblin King’s heir. Bruno Petellier is another one. He plays Gringore in the Notre Dame Paris musical. His voice is amazing and unerethal.

But back to Damien and Cyril, they are like the hot-throbs in Paris right now! Or, they have been since 2001. Romeo et Juliette: La Haine de’l Amour. Amazing musical, and really made the change in how Parisian actors and singers work.

  11. Kendra says:

I really like Cyril… Maybe that’s just because he speaks (and sings) English as well as French, but.. Gosh, he’s so dreamy… And I never get this way over singers or actors, mind you. He just made me melt…

And I can’t seem to find Bruno Petellier on youtube anywhere… This weird announcer-guy keeps coming up. o.O Darn it! I wanted to see more heart-throbs!

  12. Andi says:

I included the clip in my name.
Forgive me, spelled his last name wrong.
But, hopefully you enjoy his voice (and others!). He’s sung with EVERYONE. And, I think he’s Canadian. :P

  13. Kendra says:

Ah, thank you, Andi! He’s amazing too… The stage makeup was weird, though. Anyway, I loved his singing; he has a really powerful voice and it gave me chills while I was listening to it. ^^ He’s cute, too.

Jeez, I’m never this boy crazy! What the heck’s happened to me?

  14. Gobblinize Me! says:

I think I like this one better as Jareth’s heir, but he can’t usurp Jareth. I’m beginning to think that no one could.
    Fourteenth comment… Yea?

  15. Andi says:

    Bruno is deliciously Bruno. ^^

And don’t worry about being boy crazy, it’s not a bad thing. When you get into European actors and singers – yeah, it’s a whole other story. ;)

  16. Aysuh says:

Ah ah! I agree with you Andi! Bruno would make a great heir for Jareth!:D I looovveeddd his Dracula’s character in the Musical comedy Dracula: Entre la l’amour et la mort!!! He was so great!:D

Personnally, I dont really like this french guy’s voice (maybe because I’m more accustom for men to have deeper voice, since Quebecer tends to have deeper ones than French men…. but maybe that’s only me.) But his clip is great:D I loved the tattoo on his face. :)

I must say, this guy kind of remind me of a Guado from the game Final Fantasy X (with his hair) http://www.ffcompendium.com/art/10-guado-a.jpg
    Don’t you think?

  17. Norehnka says:

Lol! This was funny! Though i think our previous friend was more sexy! ( XD just kidding!) I totally agree with you all; Bruno Pelletier would make a good heir; he has masculinity, a deppe, rich yet powerful voice and he makes good evil, torture soul, deeply in love stuff (have you perchance heard of his role as Dracula? It was phenomenal! ( i still have goosebumps about the last note he sings before dying…).

I must admit that i prefer Soren to the previous one (even though i do not like his voice, it is too «fluète»). The costumes were nice and i very much like his Tattoo, but i think he is a little too much in his own world XD

  18. LadyMidnight81 says:

lol, okay he has pretty eyes as well, but seriously, this video is like Neverwhere, The Bride with White Hair, and Robin Hood had a baby, and unfortunately, not in a good way….at all….

  19. David says:

I sort of like the song, but the stupid hair-do of tattoo boy ruins it for me. That, and he keeps looking into the camera, which is my biggest pet peeve of a video.
