Reader Sierra has done Return to Labyrinth 3 the ultimate honor — she has composed piece of music to accompany “Shadows of a Dream,” Jareth’s Lament. There is no “official” music for this song– only the Jim Henson Company has the rights to orchestrate that — but for now, this is a beautiful piece that captures the heartbreak perfectly. I’ve already said it but I love it. Even if it wasn’t used for Shadow of a Dream it’s a beautiful piece. I wish I could play like that.
So when will you get David Bowie to sing the official orchestrated version you’re not hinting at… no, not at all… ?
Maybe I’m reading too much into things but I sense an official recording in the horrizon.

And about actual copies, I don’t know if I can do anything like that… I have a cd of my other songs, but I don’t know if I could include this one with them or not because I kinda wrote it to Jake’s lyrics, and so therefore it’s not totally mine.

Let me rephrase that.. the music isn’t official or anything, it’s just a result of me messing around, but since I framed it to Jake’s lyrics.. well I’m not sure how it’d work. I think I just can’t include the lyrics with any recording I happen to make, because they’re owned by the JimHenson company, and the music’s okay by itself.
