Returning to Labyrinth since 2007!

Crafty Goodness — a Labyrinth/Etsy Round Up

Official Labyrinth merch is pretty limited, what with a pair of action figures, a handful of plush toys and the occasional T-shirt. But thanks to etsy, you don’t have to attend the Labyrinth of Jareth to get handmade and one-of-a-kind Labyrinth swag. With a disclaimer that none of these Labyrinth goods are “official” and that availability could change at a moment’s notice, here’s a survey of what’s up for offer on Etsy right now:

I’ll start with the plushies since I’ve got a soft spot for soft things.

I already own the licensed Didymus plushie, but this hand-made version, crafted from the finest materials, puts him to shame:

The creator also makes this adorable Ludo plush:

Marie’s shop of creatures offers several hand-made creature models, including this cute worm:

On the jewelry front, Bluebirdiesinger offers this pin featuring Jareth and Sarah. It’s not only cute, but it’s one of the few jewelry pieces that uses original art.

Looking for something a little kinky? How about a Jareth pendant choker?

If you’d rather decorate yourself like Jareth rather than with him, Dream Star makes Jareth pendants to order in gold or silver. (Compare to the “official” one).

Or why not chilly down with some smokin’ footwear? These painted Vans are one of a kind!

JarethVANS

This fine art print is very cool.

And I must say, this cartoonified Didymus “bead sprite” creation from Serena Azureth is most adorable:

And for the Labyrinth fan with more money than sense, there’s this $2500 painting:

Oh, and then there’s this NSFW Jareth the “knob-lin” King pendant…

As a bonus, this isn’t Labyrinth, but it’s in the same vein and oh so cool. Falcor, you can eat me for breakfast any day!

I am begging you not to buy the Falcor. We already have enough disturbing ’80s plushies at home :(

  2. Kristi O. says:

I can’t decide if the Jareth…Knob…thingy is the creepiest or most amusing thing I’ve ever seen.

The Didymus plushie is pretty sweet, and while I already have a pendant modelled after Jareth’s, but the one you show here is nice and shiney, and everyone knows shiney is better. And I gotta say, I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks the “Official” pendant is crap. I remember being so disappointed when I saw how it looked, because like you said, Labyrinth merch is few and far between.

If anyone’s interested, here’s what swag I have:
    Talking Ludo Plush
    Goblins of Labyrinth book
    Jareth Action figure
Jareth Action figure 12 inch talking version
    Jareth/Hoggle two pack figure
2 Labyrinth DVD’s (One’s the Anniversary Special edition)
    Blue Sarah Labyrinth T-shirt
    Black Jareth T-shirt
And of course, the first 3 volumes of RtL

I don’t have much for unofficial swag besides the aformentioned pendant. I do however, sport a rather nice Labyrinth tattoo (It’s just a simple Labyrinth Design, nothing from the movie).

I love the pin! That’s one of my favorite drawings I haved fav’d over at deviantart. Now I’m very tempted to purchase it…

    Also, the knob is disturbing.

    • Maggie says:

The pin was my favorite too! How inventive to put an original work like that up for commercial profit. If I had any real money, I’d buy a ton of this stuff in a heart beat!

      • Kristi O. says:

I love how the pin has glitter in the resin. When I first introduced Labyrinth to a friend, all she could do was marvel at how much glitter they used for on the sets, so this pin is being pretty faithful to the movie.

    Waaaant….

That sir Didymous is incredible. The best replica of Jareth’s amulet I’ve seen is the one by Eyefeather creations.

The smaller one is actually about the right size. The larger one they have is too big and remselbes an over sized rapper’s bling. Bowie was 5′10 in Labyrinth, not seven feet.

    • Kristi O. says:

The eyefeather is the one I have, and while I do really like it I have a few qualms about it. Around a week after I first got it the silver paint was rubbing off really easily. That, and the centre design isn’t as nicely sculpted as the larger one, though like you said the smaller one is the better size.

Still, it is really nicely done, and I’d recommend it to any Labby fan (Though checking out eyefeather’s website, it appears she’s Sold out of the amulet, no idea if she’s planning on making more, so people might be out of luck).

  6. Mandy says:

    Agh. typo. – resembles.

I can’t get over how perfect that Sir Didymous is. I want him!

  7. Kelly says:

    Am I a bad Labyrinth fan if I say the Falcor one is the cutest? ^^;

  8. Sarah says:

Buy ME the Falcor! You get the pleasure of buying it without the entroubling consequences of further creepifying your home.

  9. Misty-chan says:

    CUTE plushies..but I don’t see any Jareths…http://horohoroplushie.deviantart.com/art/Jareth-Plushie-142340591 here!

  10. SaturdayInThePark says:

Thanks for blogging about my ridiculous “Jareth the Knob-lin King” pendant. I wouldn’t wear it around on a regular basis, but it’s de rigueur for geeky bachelor/bachelorette parties. ;-)
Right now I love the Team Jareth shirt on Etsy by Swamp Dweller
