Unda Constwuction — Complete!!

Ludo Fwend

Just so you know, Gobblin.net is going to be undergoing a bit of a overhaul in the next few days with a new layout and better organization and a new spat of articles, so bear with me and come back soon!

–UPDATE–

Things are still very-much a work in progress. Regular readers, if you have any specific thoughts on the “magazine” style format, let me know. I have several ideas in mind for future features that this style could better support, but maybe it’s too big a departure…?

–UPDATE 2!—

If you are wondering what happened to “Skub’s Riddle Club,” it is postponed a day as I want to fully introduce the feature first and run it contest style with prizes. If you have already started work on the answer, hold on to your notes, but don’t share the results!

–UPDATE 3!—

All right guys, this is it. I like this look, so aside from minor tweaks, expect the look to stay. Feedback welcome!

Bunny Bonding

A Labyrinth non-sequitur, but as I haven’t been posting much lately, I feel like I owe a partial explanation of what I’ve been up to.

Gatsby, our Bunny for nearly a near now, has a new friend! She’s still unnamed as we figure out her personality. The lady bunny in question was part of a major rabbit rescue operation where some 60 “wild” rabbits were rescued from a schoolyard. Here, several generations of bunnies had multiplied from released pets, creating a situation that was bad for the school but even worse for the rabbits. (No, pet animals should never be released into the wild, just as wild animals should be left alone there!)

The new lady is still a little traumatized, and has a few scabs and scratches from her bad luck in the wild and in the shelter in the interim, but she’s slowly coming out of her shell. As she recovers, she also has to get used to Gatsby, who took to her pretty well (she was the 11th bunny we tried matching him with between two shelters), but who can be a little bossy (ie, balls or no balls, bunnies still want to hump!). The process can take weeks or months, but once they’ve bonded, they should be able to share a pen together happily and hoppily ever after.

Here’s a video about the rescue that yielded our new lapin companion — warning, it’s a little sad. She appears at 1:35 in as is probably the mom of a bunch of those babies (she’s fixed now).

That’s your bunny update for the week! Next time, Goblins!
